Misty Morning

“Misty Morning” is part of a series of three posters depicting the connection between the human world and the wildness of nature.

Story of the Poster
The image was inspired by a photo I took in the morning in the village of Skråmträsk, Sweden. I drew a woman emerging from a hill illuminated by the morning sun. The misty forest, visible in the background, gradually permeates the woman. This way I wanted to show how nature influences our feelings, emotions, and physical sensations. The image contains many motifs related to flora and fauna, which merge with the woman (can you spot them all?) and symbolize her love for nature. The warmth of the meadow contrasts with the coolness of the forest, reminding us that wildness is full of contrasts and apparent opposites that do not exclude each other—they coexist and are part of a bigger picture. It’s a perfect analogy to the world we are part of. It’s also a reminder to live in harmony with our nature and carefully observe our surroundings, because otherwise, we might miss the beauty right next to us.
