LOFOTEN with one line

I created this drawing with just ONE LINE.

It took me 7,5 hours to complete. I worked without lifting the stylus from the iPad. During moments when I needed to pause — to rest or to move the image on the tablet and continue working on another part—I lifted my hand in a visible spot. I then resumed the drawing exactly where I had left off, continuing the same line. At the bottom of the artwork, you can see the beginning of the line in the letter “L” of the word “line,” and the end in the letter “E” of the word “one.”

Story of the Poster

I traveled to the far north of Norway to explore the Lofoten Islands between winter and spring. There, I saw winding roads and sparse buildings, which gave me the impression of a deserted place. High mountains and hiking trails took my breath away. I admired the Norwegian Sea lazily flowing between the islands of the archipelago. The whole place made me feel as if I hadn’t arrived at a real location, but rather stepped into a fantasy.

The trip lasted a week, but it felt more like one long dream in which so much happened! It inspired me to create an artwork using only one line.
