I created this drawing with just ONE LINE.

It took me 10 hours to complete. I worked without lifting the stylus from the tablet. During moments when I needed to pause — to rest or to move the image on the tablet and continue working on another part—I lifted my hand in a visible spot. I then resumed the drawing exactly where I had left off, continuing the same line. At the bottom of the artwork, you can see the beginning of the line in the letter “L” of the word “line,” and the end in the letter “E” of the word “one.”

Story of the poster

The title of the poster comes from Sting’s 1993 song “Fields of Gold.”
Literally, it’s referring to fields of ripe grain bathed in sunlight—a scene evoking summer, nature, abundance, and peace. However, in Sting’s song, it signifies memories of beautiful moments shared with a loved one, the passage of time, nostalgia, and an emotional promise that someone will remember those moments together.

The photo that inspired this drawing was taken by me in the Swedish countryside. Whenever I think about that place, I could swear I hear the rustling of grain swayed by the wind. Instantly, the lyrics echo in my mind:

“You’ll remember me when the west wind moves
Upon the fields of barley
You’ll forget the sun in his jealous sky
As we walk in fields of gold”

Sting always reminds me of my dad, and combined with this song, it brings back memories of a childhood spent in the countryside: Picking fruit from bushes, climbing trees, running through fields, writing down song lyrics in a notebook while listening to cassette tapes. I remember drawing bees with my sister and cousin, drinking my mom’s homemade compote, and going on bike trips with my dad.
All of this forms an image of safety, freedom, and love.

It doesn’t matter whether I’m looking at a field in Sweden, in Poland, or anywhere else—this view always brings back warm memories and the sound of a well known song.
It brings comfort, joy, and gratitude.
