Let me show you around

Written by: Olsikowa

Welcome to my place, a humble and a peaceful space, that sometimes appears as a small red cabin in the north, a mountaintop with a view of a river, a little house with large windows, a forest with old stones covered in moss, or at times, the magical garden of my mother. This place changes its forms and shapes, so I’d like to explain how it works so that you can feel right at home here.

First, very briefly: At the top of the page, you’ll find navigation to guide you to the selected sections. There are also settings buttons where you can choose the language for the content and the color mode: day and night (I’m very curious to see which option you prefer).

On the blog, I want to share my inspirations, store updates, and thoughts – no less often than once a month.

I hope you’ll want to take a moment to share your thoughts in the comments. I promise I’ll monitor this section, respond to comments, and make sure no trolls or unpleasant people slip in. Every sentence – whether supportive or not – can be spoken in a polite and respectful way, and that’s where I draw the line. I want us to feel comfortable and safe here, so anyone who doesn’t follow these rules will be met with the “No entry for trolls” sign.

If you’re curious about my story, want to see my gallery of works and collaborations, feel free to visit the “About me” section.

As for the shop, when creating it, I wanted to combine my need to create and share art with my beliefs about consumerism, caring for the planet, and pragmatic needs.

It’s a blend that requires flexibility to coexist. When making decisions, I aim for the golden mean and will persistently strive to find it.

The beginning of every project comes with limitations, and this one is no different – for example, in terms of shipping orders. To avoid traveling to the city, which is many kilometers away, I’ve decided to send packages once a week (every Tuesday). As the shop grows, I’ll be able to ship directly to each customer from Sweden, but for now, I need to find creative solutions so that shipping costs aren’t overwhelming. For customers in Poland, I came up with a solution where I’ll send a package with many ready-to-ship orders to my mom in Poland, and she will forward them via Polish Post.

I want to reassure everyone who’s worried about whether she’s involved voluntarily: Yes, my mom came up with this idea on her own and even presented me with additional suggestions! Like me, she’s very excited about this project, and like a good fairy, she wants to add a nice touch from her side.

When creating jewelry, I’m constantly searching for new ideas and planning to experiment with different materials. If I decide to repeat a design, I’ll make small changes so that no two pieces are identical. I’ll carefully track the popularity of products to create in a direction that merges my preferences with yours. I’ll make sure that every Thursday’s new product launch includes at least a little new jewelry.

I keep the path open for artistic experiments, adding new categories to the shop, and creating unique collections.

This perspective fills me with excitement and joy, motivates me to work, and fuels my creativity! I’m so happy that you’re here with me, and I hope you’ll stay for the long haul.

Kisses,
Olsikowa
