“Winter Twilight” is part of a series of three posters depicting the connection between the human world and the wildness of nature.

Story of the Poster

The image was inspired by two of my photos. The first one captures the twilight in the village of Ljusvattnet in Sweden, where I lived for two years. The second one features my dog friend, Delta, a German Shepherd, attentively gazing into the distance during a hike. The dog, as the animal most strongly connected with humans, represents a creature standing at the boundary of the human world and wild nature. In the image, near the dog’s nose, there is a house built by humans. It’s up to the viewer to decide whether the presence of the house disrupts the dog’s ability to smell, symbolizing the inhibition of its instincts, or if its position on the dog’s muzzle represents a strong attachment to the warm, safe place where this four-legged friend has everything it needs.
